Intern Program

The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center accepts applications for the intern program on an ongoing basis, however applications are typically reviewed three times per year, in coordination with an academic calendar. The program is designed to give students and graduates the opportunity to gain experience in a non-profit arts organization. An internship at ACAC is a great resume builder and signals a serious commitment to the arts in addition to providing a valuable service to this organization and the community it serves.

Eligibility

All interested individuals eighteen years of age and older are eligible to apply for an internship. You must have an interest or background in art, arts administration, arts education, non-profit management, or a related field. Computer proficiency and excellent writing skills are a must. All interns must be well-organized, enthusiastic, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Commitment

Interns must make a commitment of a minimum of 10 hours per week for a period of at least three months. The more time an individual can offer, the richer the experience will be. Please indicate your availability when applying.

Benefits

All intern positions are unpaid, but interns receive many of the same benefits of membership including free admission to exhibitions and programs and a 10% discount in our shop. Individuals may receive academic credit if the program is offered through their school and if arrangements are made in advance. Upon successful completion of the internship, interns receive a complimentary individual membership with associated benefits for one year.
