Seana Reilly’s artwork is executed in liquid graphite and speaks in equal parts to drawing, painting, and printmaking. She is exploring the play between the natural world and human intellectualized accounts of the natural world; science, semiotics, and insights gained while studying Vipassana meditation are all sources for her work. Her years working in architecture as both a justice and healthcare planner directly influence her work as well.
Reilly spent most of her life in Washington, D.C., with a 10-year stint in Northern California. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. She was a finalist in the 2012 Forward Arts Foundation Emerging Artist Award and has exhibited on both coasts and a few places in-between.
