Exhibiting artist Luis Camnitzer delivers a lecture focusing on art and education.
Camnitzer is an internationally recognized artist, critic, and educator. Over the past 50 years, he has developed a diverse body of work linked to the development of conceptual art. As his 2008 work Last Words in the Substitute Teacher exhibition indicates, Camnitzer is a master with language that can be simultaneously poetic, socio-political, and emotional. In 1991 he had a retrospective survey of works from 1966-1990 here, when it was the Nexus Contemporary Art Center.
This event is part of our Artist Survival Skills series.
